Partnering with researchers and scientists from the University of California Santa Barbara, Science in Action invites guests to play, participate, or watch live research highlighting the science of child development.

This Weekend’s Topic: Who is friends? 

Children will hear a story about three characters from the same class. One central character will interact with each of the other characters in different ways. For example, they may choose the same item as one character, but preferentially share with the other. Children will get to pick which characters are closer friends.

We are interested in how children weigh different cues of friendship, and how their choices change with age.
