Crawlers’ Corner.

Permanent Exhibit

Crawlers' Corner

Crawlers’ Corner is a play space designed to support the development of MOXI’s earliest learners, ages 0 – 36 months. Inspired by nature and the wonders of the world around us, the exhibits encourage the development of gross motor skills, safe risk taking, problem solving, and early math concepts like counting, shapes, and patterns. Toddlers can climb, crawl, and balance through the Honeycomb Hollow, duck into the Crystal Cave, count to 10 at the Curiosity Cabinets, and recognize common shapes found in nature. Padded textures and textiles incorporate softness in this area to ensure safety through each child’s exploration.

Tips for before and after your visit.
Children are natural scientists.

Let them take the lead as they explore and experiment in their environment.

Math is all around us.

You and your toddler can count and sort objects, compare sizes, and make measurements all around you. Explore shapes, patterns, and symmetry in the natural world.

Gross motor play.

Crawling, climbing, and jumping help build early STEM skills like critical thinking and problem solving.

MOXI is committed to reaching children at the most formative stages of development, when their natural curiosity and wonder can be channeled into meaningful learning experiences.
