Are you a kid with big dreams and big ideas?

At MOXI, we believe the best ideas come from kids. A museum for kids should be inspired by kids, shaped by your questions, your curiosity, and your creativity. The Kids Museum Advisory Committee (KMAC) invites YOUR ideas and perspectives on everything from programming to exhibit development.

Dates to Remember:

Committee meetings will take place at the museum from 3:30-4:45 PM on the first Wednesday of every month from September 2026 through May 2027:

  • September 2 MANDATORY (*parent/caregiver is invited to attend the first meeting)
  • October 7
  • November 4
  • December 2
  • January 6
  • February 3
  • March 3
  • April 7
  • May 5

KMAC members are expected to volunteer for a 2-hour shift during at least 2 MOXI programs or events throughout their term. Opportunities tentatively include:

  • STEAM Specialty Weekends
  • Seasonal and Permanent Exhibit Openings
  • Noon Year’s Eve (Dec 31)
  • MOXI’s 10th Anniversary Celebrations
  • Family Party
  • …and more as they develop!

Application

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in 2nd-6th grade during the 2026-27 school year.
  • Commit to attending at least 7 of the 9 committee meeting sessions and at least two volunteer shifts (see “Dates to Remember” section above)

Application Process

  • Please fill out the form below. Once completed, we’ll ask for a brief video submission that demonstrates your excitement to share ideas and ability to be a contributing member of our team.
  • Please send the completed application (form and video submission) to kidscommittee@moxi.org.
  • Applications must be received by Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 5 PM.
  • Applicants will be notified by Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 5 PM.
