Terrarium

Tim Wood
August 31, 2019 – December 1, 2019

Terrarium is an interactive installation where visitors become immersed in a living, growing virtual ecosystem consisting of shifting earth, growing trees, flowing wind fields, and swarming simple life forms. Everything is connected through the exchange of key resources including water, carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen. Visitors could interact using their body to affect the system and its biogeochemical cycles – shaping trees, directing the wind, or guiding groups of creatures.

Generously supported by Change Happens Foundation.

What Do Colors Sound Like?

What Do Colors Sound Like?

Westmont grad, Tucker Howard, combines color, sound, and science in a unique art experience. He uses a custom algorithm to turn colors into sound, then uses vibration to shape that sound into visual patterns. Inspired by his ADHD and sensory experiences, the project includes a nine-track album, with each track based on a different color. Available this summer on MOXI’s 2nd floor.
