LunchBoxing with Lasers

Mike Gould
June 03, 2021 – September 12, 2021

Mike Gould’s LunchBoxing with Lasers placed MOXI visitors in the control seat by allowing them to create their own laser light show. The lively lumia art were manipulated by controllers built into old-timey lunchboxes. Visitors could twist the jewels in each of the three lunchboxes to control one color of the red-green-blue display.

What Do Colors Sound Like?

What Do Colors Sound Like?

Westmont grad, Tucker Howard, combines color, sound, and science in a unique art experience. He uses a custom algorithm to turn colors into sound, then uses vibration to shape that sound into visual patterns. Inspired by his ADHD and sensory experiences, the project includes a nine-track album, with each track based on a different color. Available this summer on MOXI’s 2nd floor.
