Toddler Tuesdays.
Join us weekly* for Toddler Tuesdays at MOXI from 9 AM – 12 PM for a quieter morning at the museum with no scheduled field trips. On Tuesday mornings, we welcome our tiniest tinkerers and explorers with rotating monthly themes, special activities, and modifications to our exhibits to make them more accessible to little ones. Take this time to play, discover and interact with exhibits alongside your toddlers.
Every third Tuesday, UCSB’s Child Studies Lab will be joining us for Toddler Tuesday to facilitate an activity they have designed for toddlers based on scientific research. There’ll be a different activity for each theme. Come learn about child development and have fun with your little one along the way.
Monthly Themes:
- January – Motion: We like to move it! Balls, ramps, bodies and play.
- February – Math: Explore mathematical inspiration! Experiment with measuring, numbers, puzzles, and patterns.
- March – Shape: Explore, sort, mix and match the forms that surround us.
- April – Light: Get hands-on with light + color and brighten up your play.
- May – Touch: Feel the power of play and explore tactile sensations.
*No Toddler Tuesdays during select holiday and school break periods.
