Heartbeat

Geoffrey Hicks
December 14, 2019 – March 15, 2020

Discover a dazzling display of lights that is uniquely you. Heartbeat by Geoffrey Hicks invites you to think about your biological connection with technology. The technology used in the exhibit amplifies the electrical signals generated by cells in your heart that are conducted throughout your body to create a radial pattern from the lights hanging above. Get moving to see your increased heartbeat reflected in the pattern or compare your result to that of friends, family or strangers!

Generously supported by Change Happens Foundation.

What Do Colors Sound Like?

What Do Colors Sound Like?

Westmont grad, Tucker Howard, combines color, sound, and science in a unique art experience. He uses a custom algorithm to turn colors into sound, then uses vibration to shape that sound into visual patterns. Inspired by his ADHD and sensory experiences, the project includes a nine-track album, with each track based on a different color. Available this summer on MOXI’s 2nd floor.
