Inhabitat

Haro Ji + Graham Wakefield
September 1, 2017 – January 7, 2018

MOXI guests discovered a whole new world created by the artist team of Haro Ji and Graham Wakefield in the Interactive Media Theater. Inhabitat is a visualization of a complex, biologically-inspired virtual ecosystem. It’s an interactive mixed reality experience that pairs multidisciplinary art making with computational models. Guests had the chance to discover what happens when you manipulate the landscape or interact with the world’s species. This playful audio-visual world encourages your active observation, engagement and creativity.

What Do Colors Sound Like?

What Do Colors Sound Like?

Westmont grad, Tucker Howard, combines color, sound, and science in a unique art experience. He uses a custom algorithm to turn colors into sound, then uses vibration to shape that sound into visual patterns. Inspired by his ADHD and sensory experiences, the project includes a nine-track album, with each track based on a different color. Available this summer on MOXI’s 2nd floor.
