Feed your need for speed as you build your own race car and send it down our test track. Prototype designs for a marble roller coaster. Discover the beauty in all types of movement.

Fantastic Forces Courtyard.

Step outside into this space dedicated to gravity, magnetism, propulsion, centripetal force and more. Conduct test flights in our Wind Column Workshop, launch an Air Rocket and discover the power of magnetic fields on our Magnetic Islands.

Sound Track.

Go inside the Giant Guitar to learn about how your favorite guitar riffs begin. Be mesmerized by our very own George Rhoads-designed Sound Machine.

Tech Track.

Make your mark right as you enter MOXI on the Sheldon Family Handprint Globe. Get inspired by stories of local innovators and their work in our community on the Innovation Wall.

Quiet Cave.

Quiet Cave is a new a calming space designed for sensory-sensitive guests and anyone seeking a moment of calm during their visit. The space features soft lighting, an inclusive reading library, minimal noise, and tactile sensory experiences. Whether you need a break from the buzz or a quiet spot to reset, Quiet Cave can be accessed on the second floor.

What Do Colors Sound Like?

Westmont grad, Tucker Howard, combines color, sound, and science in a unique art experience. He uses a custom algorithm to turn colors into sound, then uses vibration to shape that sound into visual patterns. Inspired by his ADHD and sensory experiences, the project includes a nine-track album, with each track based on a different color. Available this summer on MOXI’s 2nd floor.

Buses in Space

MOXI has partnered with MTD to present a special exhibition featuring the winning posters from their Youth Art Contest (available on MOXI’s 1st floor). Come explore imaginative and colorful artwork created by local students in grades 1 through 6, as they envision what buses might look like in outer space.

Building Brick playspace

Get into hands-on, playful STEAM learning with building bricks! MOXI's Building Brick Playspace offers opportunities for guests to stack in 3D with as many blocks as we can fit in our bins.
