February 23, 2019 – April 7, 2019

Karen Hochman Brown’s Digital Ambrosia is comprised of digitally altered photographs and algorithmic creations that combine her love for art and geometry. In her kaleidoscopic work, Hochman Brown begins with a single photograph that is then artistically manipulated to create balance, patterns and illusions. In her digital collection, she uses a graphic synthesizer to create custom virtual paintbrushes while changing parameters that react to a visual reference.

What Do Colors Sound Like?

What Do Colors Sound Like?

Westmont grad, Tucker Howard, combines color, sound, and science in a unique art experience. He uses a custom algorithm to turn colors into sound, then uses vibration to shape that sound into visual patterns. Inspired by his ADHD and sensory experiences, the project includes a nine-track album, with each track based on a different color. Available this summer on MOXI’s 2nd floor.
